Build that snowman!

This year has brought so many mixed emotions. It has meant an over night life change for everyone in our country. It has brought devastation and loss. Fear and uncertainty. Ugliness and division. It has also brought caution and respect for others. A helping hand, a quiet kind gesture. Love, bonds and priceless memories that you wouldn’t trade for the world. Kids will learn and feel the emotion of life‘s changes based upon how they see you react. Yes, I have made major life changes for my family, for my mom and my little boy. But I have also shown my son that in a bad situation, the only thing that we can do is make the best of it and look for the positive. Since March, I have created an abundance of priceless memories with my baby boy that I would not trade for the world. I am so thankful to my husband for being such an incredible father and husband. For caring for us like no one else can! Tomorrow, we will be creating more memories. Sure, you can wake up, look outside and grumble and set the stage for a miserable day because you don’t like the “white stuff“ you see outside. But you know what else you can do? You can wake up, you can look outside and smile. You can see the beauty and the gift that mother nature has given us. As I’m looking outside, I can see Zaden’s smile as he flys down the hill on his sled. His chocolate mustache and white whipped cream nose. I can hear him laughing and I know at that moment that everything is going to be ok. As times are so uncertain, choose to grasp onto the positive. Choose to be happy. Choose to spread joy and help others. Build that snowman and drink that hot cocoa. Shovel your neighbors steps, check on someone elderly. SPREAD LOVE NOT HATE. ITS YOUR CHOICE! Have a wonderful snowy day. To my loving husband Neil and all of the brave men and women working in this storm and putting their lives on the line to save others, please be safe.
